The number of live poker tournaments available to UK players is increasing year after year. Not only will you find a live UK poker tournament every day of the week, the number of premier events such as the World Series Europe and European Poker Tour (EPT) events is increasing too. In addition to the large prizes on offer at many UK live poker tournaments casinos now regularly host live cash games and sit & go tournaments. There are many European Live Poker Tournaments running throughout Europe on a regular basis too.

European Poker Tour (EPT) London

This yearly live UK poker tournament is held at the Victoria Casino in London’s Edgware Road at the end of September. There are a series of live tournaments featuring many forms of poker cumulating in the No-Limit Holdem ‘main event’. The buy-in is £5200+ £200. Alternatively you can join one of the many online satellite qualifiers offered by a number of UK poker sites.

WSOP Europe (WSOPE)

The inaugural event of this premier live poker tournament was held in London during September 2007. With a large field and a £10,000 buy-in the prize pool was the largest seen in a live UK poker tournament. A number of our featured UK poker sites offered satellite qualifiers to this event. Amateur Poker Association Tour

The Amateur Poker Association Tour (APAT) provides a series of international live poker tournaments with a modest £75 entry fee. These include UK poker tournaments in Scotland (April), Ireland (April) and England (June). The APAT does not charge entry fees for these poker tournaments.

The Great British Poker Tour

Started in 2007 the Gala Casino ‘Great British Poker Tour’ is a series of 4 qualifying live poker tournaments scheduled between February and August with a £500+ £50 entry fee. These are located at Gala venues throughout the UK. The grand final in October is held in Bristol, this £2,500 entry tournament is expected to have a very large prize pool. Qualifiers are available at Coral Poker.
